Make Waves Nursery Welcomes Petroc College Students for Hands-On Experience.
At Make Waves Nursery, we are always looking for ways to support young learners—not just the little ones in our care, but also those taking their first steps into their careers.
That’s why we are delighted to be working with Petroc College, welcoming students who are training to become health and social carers.
As part of their qualification, these students will be observing how young children develop and interact in a nursery setting. This experience is vital in helping them build awareness of early years education and child development, giving them real-world insight that will shape their future careers.
Tina, from Make Waves Nursery, shared her enthusiasm for the partnership:
"We are always keen to work with local schools and colleges to support students in their learning. This collaboration with Petroc College is a fantastic opportunity for their students to see first-hand how important these early years are in a child’s development. We’re delighted to be involved."
The students will visit our Nursery on a specific day as part of a supervised group, and with permission from the parents of our children who will meet them. While here with us, they will gain valuable knowledge on how children take their first steps in learning, socialising, and exploring the world around them.
We’re proud to play a part in shaping the next generation of health and social care professionals and look forward to continuing our collaboration with Petroc College.
