At Make Waves Nursery & Pre-School we focus on helping every child feel confident, capable and excited for their next step from their early beginnings with us until the day they graduate.

In line with EYFS areas of learning, through purposeful daily activities, children develop key early skills including communication, independence, social confidence and early literacy and numeracy - all in a fun, supportive environment where learning happens naturally through play.

Building Confidence & Independence.

We help children develop the everyday skills they need for school, such as following routines, making choices, waiting turns and listening to others, managing transitions and building positive relationships with others. By encouraging independence from an early age, children grow in confidence and feel ready to take on new challenges.

Our approach combines structured learning opportunities with child-led exploration, helping children become curious, resilient and engaged learners. From circle time and story sessions to creative play and problem-solving activities, every part of the day is designed with development in mind.

A strong focus on language, listening and emotional understanding helps children express themselves, work alongside others and build friendships -  all essential skills for starting school successfully.

Developed from an educational background, our bespoke curriculum supports children in developing early maths, literacy, physical and expressive skills, while encouraging curiosity about the world around them. By the time children leave us, they have the foundations they need to make a confident, positive start at school.
