Home-Cooked, Nutritious Meals

We provide freshly prepared, home-cooked meals and snacks each day, designed to support healthy growth and energy levels. Our menus are carefully planned by our in-house cook, offering variety, balance and quality ingredients that children enjoy. 

Children experience and explore new tastes and different cultures through a varied menu - from classic British favourites such as cottage pie and sausage and mash, -to European winners like spaghetti bolognaise, and meals originating further afield such as sweet and sour or mild curries.

Meals are created specifically with the children’s tastes in mind introducing them to new flavours in a mild way and always with something they are familiar with too. 

Desserts too are varied and can be anything from fruit salad and ice cream, to berry tarts, crumbles or light cakes.

Safe & Inclusive Mealtimes.

Our nursery is a nut-free setting and the team takes food safety seriously, ensuring all meals are choking and allergy-aware, and suitable for young children. Meal times are overseen by our paediatric first aider, allergies catered for by our onsite cook and designated allergy lead, and parents kept up to date with meals and foods eaten (and quantities) through the Tapestry App. Families are invited to discuss individual dietary needs with our team so we can support every child safely and confidently.

As part of the wider Make Waves environment, families benefit from excellent shared facilities, including access to swimming lessons, as well as free access to our under 6’s play centre - all designed to make life easier for parents and more enriching for the children.

A Comfortable, Purposeful Environment.

Our nursery space is set up to support learning and development through play, with dedicated areas in our Nursery for each EYFS. Every part of our environment is carefully considered to help children feel secure, engaged and ready to learn, from our indoor spaces to our outdoor play zones.
